Before you descend

The Crypt is a place of rest — and of warning. A few things to keep in mind before you enter its shadowed halls.

Uneven stone steps scattered with bones

Watch your footing

Ancient stone is uneven and unforgiving. Watch for floor traps and leave a clear path through the chamber.

Keep room to move

Tight spaces demand patience. Keep room to retreat and use your abilities to create space.

Read the battlefield

Skeletons and zombies gather in these halls. Keep moving when the chamber becomes crowded.

The halls do not stay quiet

Learn the rhythm of the descent.

The first chambers

Skeletons, zombies and grave acolytes occupy the early halls. Read the exits while you still have room. Choose a route that leaves space to gather the dead into your attacks.

Pressure in the passages

As the raid advances, archers and ghouls join the crowd. A narrow doorway can gather enemies into a strike, but it can also trap you against the stone. Keep an escape route in mind.

Silence Below

The Lich waits at the end of the raid. Slay the Crypt’s boss and extract to earn Silence Below. Plan for the return as carefully as the descent.

A reason to return

One clear is only the beginning.

Hunt the missing piece of a set. Return with a different hero and make the same tight halls work for a new build. Try to complete the next raid without the hit that nearly ended this one.

Successful extraction lets you keep the equipment you carry. Return to Dunhollow, store your finds and prepare another approach.
